NUT - Your Union

Your School Rep

Your first point of contact, should you experience a difficulty at work, is your school rep.

Oxfordshire NUT has a wide network of school representatives, all of whom volunteer their time to support their colleagues.  Your school rep is also your direct connection to the Union locally and the best person to speak to about getting more involved.

Advice Line

To ensure that you get the support you need when you have an issue at work, we have established a dedicated National Advice Line.  All calls and emails to this line are dealt with by professional staff or referred on to a member of our local casework team or the regional office as appropriate.  If you have an issue at work or simply want some advice on an aspect of your role, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

You can contact the Member Support Line on 020 300 66266 or by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

As a parent of two children at schools in Oxford, I am fully supportive of NUT campaigns.  Teachers work so hard to deliver high quality education to our children and I am very clear that good education is a right, not a privilege. – Tracy Walsh, parent.
The NUT in Oxfordshire has been at the forefront in drawing attention to the threats our children face if education reforms continue to favour the privileged few. Every child should have access to a qualified teacher, and a school which champions the interests of every child, irrespective of postcode, parentage or perceived academic potential. – Chris Davis, parent.
